Double Edged

The US government has asked Israel to detail its operation in which Israeli Special Forces killed three terrorists who were responsible for the Thursday killing of a Jew near the community of Shavei Shomron in the Shomron region. This because the Arabs claim the terrorists killed were unarmed and of course, needless to say, completely innocent.

The fact is that in one of the places 2 M-16s were found and that these guns have been proven to be the weapons involved in the murder, means nothing, after all we are talking about upstanding citizens of the “Palestinian Authority”, and security personnel also, who may have been trained and equipped by the US, you know Dayton’s Boys.

Using a double edge sword in dealing with problems has its advantages and disadvantages. Yes, if used properly, it is a far more efficient weapon, however, if used sloppily and carelessly, it will often hurt and injure the one who is wielding it. The US is “checking Israel’s Tzitzit”, or sticking their nose a bit too far in Israel’s personal business, regarding its protection of its citizens and how Israel deals with not just enemies in words, but enemies in actions. I haven’t heard a US reaction to the murder yet that “blasts” the PLO regarding the involvement of its own arm in this heinous crime. We read how the “Palestinian” Security or Army arrested over 120 suspects in this murder, much to the praise of the IDF, yet of course released them shortly after. It is quite obvious and understood that the new Arab Army would never arrest one of its own over the mere killing of a Jew. I really do understand this and agree with them, this would cause a major rift and dismay among the Arab population of Judea and Samaria. Imagine it to be considered a crime to kill Jews, this would go against everything they have learned, and are still learning in grammar school.

Lets get back to that Double Standard, sorry I mean Double Edged sword that the US is using regarding Israel. There they are, all the State Department cronies and President Obama’s advisors all in a tizzy over Israel eliminating some murdering terrorists, while they wont even look into their own actions in Iraq and Afghanistan. I know it’s a different story over there, so many are dying there anyway, who cares, the Arabs don’t, the Human Rights people don’t, so why should the State Department or Prez Obama, I mean he doesn’t even care enough about Darfur to act. But Jews killing their enemies…. whoa! This is not acceptable, after all who did these guys kill anyway, a settler, what was he doing there in the first place, the nerve!

What goes around comes around, and as long as the US plays this game using a double-edged sword, mark my words, they will be cut. The Arabs they think they are defending will turn around and bite them in the fleshy part of democracy, probably sooner than later. The rights they think they are defending will come around and will shout back at them from the rest of the world, probably from the jesters at the sitcom of the “World Court” and “United damNation”.

I am saddened that the US is making a mockery of itself, it can be a great nation and leader again. The snickers and sneers heard around the world regarding the US upset me, I guess they are filtered out from Washington DC, they probably can’t be heard over the shovels in State and the Defense Departments.

Never less, nothing new, nothing surprising in the US reaction over the killing of a Jew in Israel, just wait how they will come down on Israel when we have to defend ourselves again from Hizbulla in the North, and Hamas in the south. Until then, we will continue to do what we do, and hopefully will return to be the terror of anyone who harms a Jew, anywhere in the world.

Those were the days

Growing up as a Conservative Jew in America during the 70’s was one of the richest experiences one could have as a young Jewish American. USY and Camp Ramah were maybe the best tools available to combat assimilation, build a strong Jewish identity and promote a strong and Jewish Israel, including Aliyah. We were taught how Israel “Liberated’ Judea and Samaria in 1967, returning our historical homeland to the Jews. We all listened as we were told how Israel must be settled, all of Israel, and how we must not let the Arabs ever take it from us again. Tales of Jewish strength, were told to us, over and over again, the likes of Yoni Netanyahu z”l and other IDF figures became our heroes, stories of the settlers from the beginning of the State till the present (mid 70’s) stoked the embers of Zionism within us, and this included all of Israel. We were taught to stand up to our enemies, and taught who our enemies were, those who want our land. We viewed the people of the Galil, Judea and Samaria and the Negev as the modern day “Halutzim” of Israel. All of this with no political messages, and no political parties. Conservative Judaism was about Judaism and making an effort at becoming a good Jew. We learned how to keep Kashrut and Shabbat, and enjoyed it. When politicians from Israel came to speak, they came from all parties and all parts of Israel, equally, and spoke of Israel and not which party to back. When USY and Ramah summer trips came to Israel, they went all over Israel, and didn’t delete our historical homeland from their itineraries, after all we were taught to be strong and that Israel, was our land. This was taught, again, without a political agenda. I still remember the excited discussions of my friends from the US, visiting here in Israel with USY or Camp Ramah, about the places they visited, about the connection they felt, the envy some had that I made Aliyah.

We were free to choose what we thought about Israel’s policies and politics. Leaders of political movements did not manipulate us, after all this was “Conservative Judaism”, where they wanted us to think for ourselves. For many of us, we grew in strength and identity. Some became more observant, some became more Zionist, and all of this came from being taught how we are a part of “Am Yisrael” and “Eretz Yisrael”.

Nowadays it seems there is a different picture. If you are a Conservative Jew and an active part of the movement, there are lines in the sand. There are political movements in Israel that may and may not be backed, at least in public. Group trips may no longer go all over Israel, “Safety”, being the excuse, Political Agendas, being the reason, Fear, the stench, and a lack of a strong Jewish Zionist identity being the result.

How is it today that politics have infiltrated so deep into this once glorious movement that it now allows it and its members to be political pawns. That Conservative Jews are afraid to travel the roads of the heartland of Israel while others, from around the world do so freely is very strange. How can the leadership of this movement hope to inspire its members to expand their horizons while they put blinders on? Conservative Judaism used to be the flagship of American Judaism, because it was based on a philosophy and not Political Correctness, or being left or right.

Maybe this is one of the reasons, so many have been leaving the movement. The political undertones heard throughout Conservative Judaism have been alienating many who grew up as I did, those who heard the same message, those who were educated and then given the right to decide on their own, from a point of knowledge, not ignorance.

If Conservative Judaism wants to become a viable movement again, it must return to what it once was, a movement that embraced Judaism and Israel without politics and politicians. When you cut parts of Israel out of your life, you cut more Jews away from your movement.

In the coming years, the Jewish people living outside of Israel are going to need more strength than ever. You need Israel now more than ever, all of Israel, no lines, no borders.

We are here for you.

An Early Response

Everyone, start preparing your anti Israel responses and press statements now, save time and be efficient. Write your articles and prepare the UN reports now, get a jump on everyone. One of the newest countries in the Middle East, Gazastan, and its leaders stated they will continue their fight against Israel until they establish “Palestine” on all of the land. This week Israeli media reported an update regarding the rearming of Hamas in Gazastan. They now have missiles that supposedly reach up to 80 kilometers, adding Dizengoff Center and other nice places to the inventory of targets. We all know it is coming the question is when?

The IDF has been arresting Hamas activists in Yehuda and Shomron at an increased rate as Dayton’s boys are having some difficulty. Now that they see Hamas gaining power, they don’t want to shoot themselves in the foot, or deficate in their own bed. Abbas is feeling the hot breath of Iza Din Kassam on his neck. The arms flow continues in Yehuda and Shomron, as they draw their own lines of engagement prior to a changing of the guard. Our media has been publicizing prior offers to the Arabs by previous Israeli leaders regarding “Land for Peace”, and now that Israelis are understanding better that the Arabs of Yehuda, Shomron and Gaza are not interested in peace, the consensus is changing. Exercises are being held in order to prepare for these scenarios. Soon, our politicians might even reflect this change, who knows?

So now that we know the next round is on the way, and will be more brutal, it is best to prepare your anti Israel statements now. You better make them good, because you are going to find a different audience in Israel than the last time. More and more Israelis are waking to the fact that there is no partner for peace in this region.

Boring, yawn, change the channel please, we have heard it all before. The reign of violence will continue in Israel, between Arabs and Jews for a long time to come. I read an add for a Palestinian Peace Group, that will be long lived, why do you think Arabs try to escape the Middle East, they must know something we don’t.

I have a theory that will set everything back on track. No it does not include a building freeze or throwing Jews out of our land, I know, I’ve just lost half of you. It doesn’t include throwing the Arabs out of our land, oops, there goes the other half of you.

The world around uses Israel as its playground for everything, and I mean everything.

“Bleeding Heart Liberals” looking for a cause to alleviate some trauma they suffered in their youth, have it all here. They can pick from a plethora of mushrooms growing in manure. Imagine, you can be a world-renowned author and go down to Gaza and support women’s rights and protest Israel’s “Human rights” violations in one of the most oppressive societies known today. Even if you can’t find friends to come with you on your holy mission to save the poor “Palestinians”, for a few bucks, which you can easily raise at home in the US, or just ask the EU, you will find plenty of extras, both Israeli and Arab to play out your fantasy. They will drive tractors, plant trees, and film and confront the “Evil Jews” as you “kvell” to high heaven.

Parents give you too much or not enough religion as kids? Come to Israel where you can hate your own people or self. You can go against everything that was pushed down your throat during your younger years. There is even a newspaper in English that will publish any and all the hatred you can spew, in the name of Intellectuality, and Equal Rights. You will always be welcome in some of the best clubs in Tel Aviv. Where else can you find entire Political parties dedicated to taking the Jew out of Judaism while they ignore their own heritage and embrace those that hate them more than themselves, only in Israel!

Is the little terrorist in you asking for a little “action”? Well you are in luck again, with your foreign passport, you can come in and “get involved”. Imagine, living the life you have only seen in the movies, collect intelligence, transport weapons and terrorists while posing as a peace activist, and you thought ambulances could only be used for sick people. Get training, network and meet new friends before you go off to fight the infidel, either in Iraq, Afghanistan or back home. Where else to can you get these offers under one roof?

Do you want a front row seat for the “End of the World”? This is the place, put on your robes, turbans and grab your Shofar ‘cause your destiny awaits, it is time to reveal yourself to the world. Remember, if you don’t fit in at home, you will always fit in here, somewhere.

So that is the idea, from now on, we charge everyone from the outside who wants to interfere with our lives here. You go to an amusement park, you pay admission, why not here? It will not be cheap, this I can promise.

You get on a ride, you pay, just like at the Amusement Park. If you want the extended stay, you have to help the maintenance people here fix what gets broken.

Governments that wish to be involved will have to support improved sewage projects and systems to enable us to remove all of the “waste” they create and leave.

The best part about this park is you get to leave whenever you want to and don’t worry - our crew will clean up after you.

A Point of View

Many have asked that I give an update and my view of the Security situation in Yehuda and Shomron today. Not an easy task, due to the many mitigating factors that change every time a Government official - either here in Israel, an Arab or American - sneezes.

The simplest way to put it is that we are here in our communities in our heartland and there are many Arabs that want us out, (not all of the Arabs wish to see the Jews leave this area). It is important to remember, that the want and desire to be “Jew Free”, doesn’t apply just to Yehuda and Shomron, but all of Israel, this view is not held by all Arabs, but certainly most.

It is impossible to discuss the Security situation in Yehuda and Shomron without first reminding everybody that this conflict did not start yesterday. Whereas this is not the place to get into a history lesson, it is the place to remind everybody that ignorance regarding the conflict is the wrong foot to stand on. To quote a friend, “the Jewish –Arab conflict started when Jews decided to fight back”.

I will discuss the situation today. Since Oslo, we have witnessed the birth of a new Arab army in the Middle East, that of the “Palestinian Authority”, however this is not the only Arab Military body in this region. There are many branches to this tree, with each branch spreading out to even more factions. Fatah itself is divided into many factions based on regions and philosophies, i.e. Nablus, Ramallah and so on. The same principal applies to Hamas, of course from there we can add on the Jihad Islami, PFLP, Al Qaeda, the list goes on. Each of these “Units” claims their own agenda and “work load”, but they do work also in accordance to the strategical and political whims of the two (Fatah and Hamas) leaderships.

The Operational and Tactical strength of all of these units has greatly increased and over the recent months and years and continues to rise to the point where they can be and are considered a “tangible” threat today - not just to our communities, but to the IDF as well. This due to the enormous funding, instruction and training they have and continue to receive from the rest of the Western world. It is no secret how the US, England and Canada have been involved with the upgrading of this new Arab army to it’s current status. Lt General Keith Dayton, (The US man in charge of this venture) indeed has what to be proud of.

Besides all of the “regulars”, there still exist numerous “independents” in the field, who are ready to attack at any minute they deem necessary and this presents an entirely separate threat level that must be not be ignored. Often downplayed in the mainstream media and International Threat Assessments, these “individual” cells have taken many lives and caused no fewer casualties than their bigger and better organized brothers. Adding to this is the fact that arms continue to flow in from various sources and continue to spread throughout the region due to the opening of the roadblocks (as a sign of good faith to the US). This all leads to an extremely volatile situation in Yehuda and Shomron. The IDF is still operating in order to capture terrorists, but these operations have been slashed due to an increasingly confused political situation on the ground. The uniforms have also changed, so not every terrorist is a “terrorist” anymore, He/She might now be a member of a new army or political wing making arrest more complicated.

Over the past year we have be seeing a significant increase in terrorist activity, although it is measured and restrained, never less it is present and enables us to gauge some of the risk and threat factors that we are and will be up against. The IDF and Israeli Security Services, Thank Gd, have been very successful in thwarting most of these attacks. Many of these incidents are probes, being used to measure our response. Where they may seem “trivial” enough, such as a stoning or Molotov cocktail, they supply the Arabs with much needed information regarding our security apparatus. Probes and attacks into the Communities have increased with a few ending in murderous rampages. Most thankfully are thwarted before any severe harm occurs, whether it is by the IDF or the communities’ own First Response Teams.

We are witnessing serious efforts by the Arabs in the gathering of Intelligence about the communities, and their increased efforts and success at sabotaging many industrial and agricultural ventures. While we are enjoying a relative lull in terror compared to the earlier days of the Intifada, most Security Analysts have discussed and stated that this is simply the “quiet before the storm”. Indeed the infighting going on between Hamas and Fatah serves us well but is also fueling the future flames that we will inevitably be pointed towards us in the not to distant future. Every day there are incidents, most that go unreported, but they do occur and people do get hurt. The efforts that the Jewish communities of Yehuda and Shomron have been showing beyond doubt has had a very positive affect on keeping terrorism down, not just in Yehuda and Shomron, but all of Israel. Though this is not politically correct to report, it is however a very big part of the picture in Israel.

This being a very short and minimal summary of the Arab build up, we can now move on to the Jewish side of the coin. Bear in mind that there are subjects that I will intentionally leave out due to security sensitivity regarding the IDF and our own Tactical Response, and the simple fact that I live in one of the communities and do not wish to divulge certain weakness that would place anyone in danger.

Much has been learned in the field of Community Security and First Response, simply by experience being our teacher, and we have had countless “professors”. It is this experience and excellence that has made Israel and specifically these communities in Yehuda and Shomron the vanguard in the Homeland Security Field. Today in many of the communities there are teams who are well trained and well equipped, however there are still many who are not as fortunate. Equipment must be constantly maintained as it ages and over time must be replaced and/or upgraded. This also applies to members of First Response Teams. The weak link that is common to all of the regions and communities is the financial backbone holding up these teams. The IDF supplied the basic needs - that of weapons and simple bulletproof vests, some basic training, but that is all. It must be stated, these are official Response Teams and not private militias. They work in coordination with the IDF. Whereas it used to be that the IDF was solely responsible to secure our communities, they are now the backup in the event of a terror situation thanks to these brave civilians. The IDF realized that time of response in a terrorist infiltration is paramount. Every extra minute waiting for the army could cost lives. So, the creation of first response teams has significantly decreased the delay in responding to such incidents. These First Response Teams and Security Chiefs are usually the first to arrive at the scene of a terror attack.

The motivation in the community’s remains very high, as it is essentially their own lives and those of their family at stake. Training by the IDF is minimal and most teams will train on their own, being either sponsored by their regional council or private donors. If there is a weakness to these teams, it is due to the continuous budgetary cuts by the Defense Ministry to the overall community defense structure. These cuts are across the board and are increasing the Risk and Threat Levels these communities are facing. Politics of course is a factor that we all must deal with, however the main difference in Israel, is that any sign of weakness provides motivation to our enemies. This combined with the increasing supply and funding of the various Arab Terror organizations by Western Governments in Yehuda and Shomron, makes for one deadly cocktail.

The IDF is currently removing many soldiers that guard communities and their security is, in turn falling mostly upon their own shoulders. This cut is also affecting the budgets that were supplied to the communities and regions in the Communication, Tactical and Perimeter fields. The lacking that these cuts have created is being filled by the continued support, effort and work of the local population and supportive Jewish Communities and Individuals abroad.

In summation, what is happening is such. The lines are being drawn and redrawn daily for a future conflict once again in the region. The North is seeing a total and increased rearming by Hizbullah, soon to be the recipient of new US arms and drones that will be sent to the Lebanese Army and funneled south, The South is witnessing a rearmed Hamas, whose reign of Terror will reach Tel Aviv, and last but certainly not least, the Heartland of our people, Yehuda and Shomron, will bear the brunt of the latest Arab Army in the Middle East whose arms will reach out in an attempt to strangle the center of the country, it is only a matter of time before the Arabs of the Galil create unrest as well.

I know that we are a strong people and can bear anything they can throw at us, and we can and will defeat any enemy. My main concern is the cost – in lives lost.

I am not using Fear or Guilt tactics here to get a point across. I have tried to supply a simple yet accurate analysis of the current security situation that is based on the region, the peoples, and the history, as well as the ever increasing component of extreme Islam in the Western world and “Homegrown” Islamic Terrorists.

Of course if the entire Arab and Muslim world change their collective mind regarding Israel’s existence as a Jewish State, then I readily admit to being wrong.

Baby, it's cold outside

The temperatures in Yehuda and Shomron have begun to drop, one might even say it is freezing. So like any one else we have started to bundle up. One of the emergency procedures we learn in survival is when freezing to use our body heat wisely and if necessary “share” body heat to survive. This is where we are today, the survival being spoken of is that of the survival of the Jewish State as we know it.

Sounds rough, sounds extreme, but lets face it, this is what is on the table. Jewish families cannot build in their land, only Jews, not Arabs. This ridiculous attempt to jump-start the Peace process only damages. Gd forbid if this process continues to move forward, reality will change and many people’s lives will have a question mark attached to their address.

Lines are being drawn and our enemies are smelling victory, (I think they are smelling their garbage burning), fanning the flames they see are the likes of J Street, Peace Now, and so many others of that ilk. It seems like support of Yehuda and Shomron among the Jews outside is succumbing to external pressures. The Obama administration, The European Union and various Left Wing groups are doing their best to quell any support for the Jewish Heartland, what can we do to respond? I do not mean to be harsh, but maybe you all don’t get it. This is a group effort, if we do not work together, and now, you will all be reminiscing about your visits to Shilo, Hevron and so many other places intertwined in our history. The places mentioned in the Torah will just become “Faraway” and not ours. Worst of all, the Face of Judaism will change, and Jewish strength might fade into history.

I know that while this picture seems unfortunately agreeable to many, maybe most, this possible reality will affect all of us, and not in a good way. The self hatred and ignorance that is leading to this scenario (that so many of our own people feel and experience), will soon turn against us, nothing new, just another repetition of history.

But this history will be a bit different. We are approaching a very dangerous time and how we act now will dictate how we act in the future. The wide world of Jews like to think that our troubles will end with giving away Yehuda and Shomron, they fail to see that this would lead to the same outcome in the Galil, of course Never Forget O’ Jerusalem. Where is the red line, when will the people wake up. If we are to learn anything, we must learn to act and learn to act now, together as one and stop this madness being dictated to us by people who have been deceived and will not bear the brunt of this present day tyranny and ethnic cleansing of Jews from our heartland.

This precedent that current Prime Minister Bibi is trying to implement is against everything he has pledged. Now while a politician lying or not keeping his campaign promise is pretty much the norm, this current process is going against the will of the country (according to the latest polls), and that is not what democracy is about. Where are all the Rights People now?

What is at stake goes beyond our history it is our future, the future for all Jews. By the way, for those that care, also the future of democracy in Israel.

I know it is not “politically correct”, but we are going to have to fight this “Freeze”, everybody and anybody who cares about a Jewish Israel is going to have to get involved, one way or another.

There is plenty to do wherever you are, but you must do and not just speak or write, make your voices heard, we can do this. It is time to get involved because the result will not be 80,000 to 300,000 refugees, it will be much worse.

I know the picture isn’t as clear across the ocean, and doesn’t hit home for all, but it is your home that we are talking about, make no mistake in thinking otherwise. I hear the squeaking of the armchairs as I write, and I say Arise! Be Healed! March On!

Just Say No

The Israeli media is flooded with Bibi’s “10 month Settlement Freeze”. Jackals from every side of the political spectrum are racing towards this fresh road kill to get whatever piece of flesh they can before the carcass is picked clean.

The Left is discreetly declaring a victory, making sure their shouts of joy are not over heard by too many, less it endanger Bibi and cause him to bare his soul. Barak has rarely smiled as much, and now is seeking a small army to enforce his will of destruction against the residents of Yehuda and Shomron. Like vultures, they hover, waiting for opportunity to gorge and fill themselves on others misery.

The Right on the other hand is in a frenzy, bolting every which way attempting to find the proper tool to dislodge this boulder that has fallen, blocking the highway of continued presence in our heartland.

Each side has been making emergency meetings, drawing new lines of confrontation as Bibi and his minstrals take a breather and enjoy the confusion they have caused in the political arena in Israel, the Obama administration, and lets not forget, our “not peace” partners, the Palestinian Authority.

I question Bibi’s loyalty to Israel, who is he serving? There is nobody benefitting from this latest “effort” to restart the negotiations with the Arabs.

Bibi was elected to serve Israel’s interest, and Israel’s interest alone. I don’t recall seeing his name on any US electoral list. While we do not see what goes on behind the closed doors of the White House, we can be sure that Israel’s well being is no longer on the US agenda. There latest requests prove this, among them, releasing more terrorists, passing over more key security points to Dayton’s Army, sorry, I meant to say the Palestinian Security Force, and of course more “Land for Peace” with Jerusalem as the main course. I understand this, as the US President believes his future and the US wellbeing lies in the Arab and Muslim world. It is his job to look out for the US as best as he can and to his best understanding. The fact that this present administration in the US will probably cause more damage to the US and it’s citizens will only be realized in the soon to be future, but that is another subject.

Bibi is hurting us, and us alone. He claims his intentions are noble, yet forgive me as I must join the others from all sides condemning him, his strategy, and his lack of strength when confronting the world. Many Jews around the world took pride in his words during some of his past speeches, of course many understood that this was just empty rhetoric, something needed to fill dead air, a pity, maybe his speech writers should be members of the Knesset.

Bibi’s lack of ambition to be a world leader and the presence of a soft spine is quickly turning him into yet another “Yes man” and Puppet, his strings being maneuvered by the Obama/Mitchell group of Puppeteers, who are commissioned by the ever-growing Axis of EOI Inc. (Enemies of Israel).

How embarrassing it must be for him to be regarded as a pliable soft-shelled politician, to be able to be bent and sculpted to order. This is surely not the leader that any of Israel wants. Think of the legacy that he will carry with him into the future.

Every Israeli leader wants to bring peace to the country, and so far every leader has failed. One would think maybe the way they are going about it is wrong. Israel has always based negotiations with the Arabs on giving up something, whether it is land, prisoners or rights, it is always based on Israel giving in. Maybe the time has come to stop giving in, to stop giving up. We have much to offer, they (and the world) have much to gain, and perhaps they need to understand this better.

We know that the Arab nations and Islam do not regard life as we do, history not only dictates this to us but this has been proven throughout the centuries, so why haven’t any of Israeli leaders learned this?

Has anyone ever noticed that Peace is not important to the Arab nations? All they want is land and power, no more no less.

Mr. Netanyahu, it is time you rethink your strategy, it is time you realize you have a responsibility to the Israeli people and to those that elected you, and not to some foreign President who wont be reelected to a second term. If you need a strong shoulder to lean on, all you have to do is ask and act befitting of the task you were elected for. You have the strongest Jewish people the world has known since the time of Joshua ready to stand by your side, show us you are worthy of our support and the rewards will be great, for all of our people, all over the world.

Years ago there was an Anti Drug Use campaign in the US. Television commercials could be seen through out the day telling the youth of America how to stay out of harms way, the message was, “Just Say No”.

Wise words, maybe you should learn when to use them sometime

Thunder and Lightning

Thunder and Lightning, or in Hebrew – Rahm and Barak, can either bring rains of blessing or a damaging storm.

Rahm Emanuel spoke to the General Assembly of Jewish leaders regarding Israel and US involvement in achieving peace between Israel and the Arab occupants of Judea and Samaria. He spoke of his family’s connection to Israel, President Obama’s dedication to peace in the region and how what started in 1967, must end.

What exactly started in 1967? Israel was victorious over the Jordanian Army after we were attacked, and ended the JORDANIAN occupation of the region, this is what started back in 1967. Jewish communities were reborn from the ashes, once again Jews were allowed to live in places they were once evicted from, and places where they were massacred. What started? Mr. Emanuel? Jews returned to their biblical heartland, you know this as you were brought up with a religious education. The Chief of Staff spoke of how his Father took the name “Emanuel” in honor of his Uncle who died fighting for Israel, will he show the same courage when the Arabs once again deny the existence of a “Jewish” state?

I could not help but notice the lack of heart Mr. Emanuel had while speaking, his lack of conviction, his detachment from the truth and real situation on the ground in Israel. How easy it is to speak to an assembly full of “yes men”, whose lives are not endangered by the political duels going own. Mr. Emanuel mentioned how the “Two State Solution” enjoys bi-partisan support among US Jewry. I ask myself, whose sons and daughters are serving in the armed forces of Israel and putting themselves on the front lines, defending a people and country with their lives.

Rahm, mentioned not to let “settlements” stand in the way of peace, who is he to decide what is good for Israel, who will clean up the mess he makes, definitely not his sons. Yes, he is the President’s Chief of Staff, a very powerful politician and possibly the mastermind of the current US strategy to endear itself to the Arabs and Muslims of the world. If he believes that the dismantling of the Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria will solve the Israeli-Arab problem, then he probably feels that Major Nidal Malik Hasan is a common criminal and not a terrorist.

It hurts to hear the cheers of the audience as Rahm mentions the issue of “ending” the communities of Judea and Samaria, most of those at this convention have never been out to any of these places and regard the populous as extremist lunatics, how unfortunate that they don’t even realize who these people really are and how their “Heroes” in the IDF are made up of these people, that these places are theirs also. Such is ignorance. I challenge them to come out here to visit and see what is really going on and meet the people of Judea and Samaria, but to come out with an open mind, sans the poison that they are being fed by the opponents of a strong Jewish nation.

I also extend this invitation to Mr. Emanuel to come out and meet us, not through the eyes of the government, but through your heart and mind. Maybe for your son’s Bar Mitzvah, after he reads the Torah at the Kotel (in the capital of Israel today), take him also to Hevron to see where his forefathers are buried, then to Shilo which served as the first capital of Israel, home to the Mishkan (Tabernacle and Ark of the Covenant) for 369 years (even older than the United States).

You spoke how important your history is to you, here is a chance to show your family and supporters that you mean what you say.

Mr. Emanuel, you are a source of pride to the American Jewish Community, your patriotism, your dedication and your loyalty. I would like to bless you that you also become a source of pride to all of your people, all over the world using the same characteristics.

J Street Shmay Street

J Street kicked off their conference this week, the first I might add. The collection of participants wasn’t surprising, Brit Tzedek, Peace Now, various Kadima, Meretz and other members and so on. It was interesting how the statement of being a “Pro Israel” group interested in Israel’s security made many of the Jewish participants uncomfortable. Definitely the “Lefty” place to be for those in the US. In Israel, the “In” place to be was the various olive groves throughout Judea and Samaria. Here was the chance for Left wing Jews to get in the picture and “do something” as they claimed to help the “poor Arab farmers” pick their olives and mix it up with the Jewish residents of these regions.

These so called groups who claim to champion the interest in peace in Israel seem to be creating the exact opposite. Where ever they go they provoke violence, and create more tension between Jews and Arabs rather than promoting a peaceful existence. The “Two State Solution” has been their banner, their Tag Line, but I wonder which “Two State Solution” are they really after.

Their biggest achievement to date is the de facto creation of Two Jewish States within One State, that being the State of Israel and the division of the Jewish people through out the world. This seems to be more important to them than the well being of the Arab residents of Judea and Samaria. The constant effort to split us up, to divide us has become boring, we understand that this group no longer wishes to identify itself as Jews in their land. Their diminishing success in Israel has led them elsewhere, overseas to seek out new victims of ignorance.

While Political corruption and debauchery run rampant in world of the “Palestinian Authority”, while funds are rarely distributed to the “needy” Arabs and diverted to terror and while Sharia Law continues to lop off “heads”, these groups concentrate on separating the Israel and Jewish people worldwide. Their constant provocation of the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, their alienation of their own heritage and history serves nothing more than causing harm to our own people, far worse than any Arab enemy we have encountered.

The Two States they live in is a divided Jewish State; the enemies in their eyes are their own brothers, their latest target, Diaspora Jewry.

As the number of Jews throughout Israel grow and continue to reaffirm their dedication to the Land of Israel, their heritage, history and people, various left wing fringe groups increase their efforts to do just the opposite. It comes as no surprise that they target those who do not have the strength of Israel in their hearts. It comes as no surprise that they use the same cowardly terror tactics that has been used against Jews in Israel, in that they look for the weak, this time the weak of identity, of heritage. “Rabbis for Human Rights”, “International Solidarity Movement” and other fraudulent “Peace” organizations continue with their true agenda against the religious stream of Judaism, they are only interested in the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Judea and Samaria, their racist path wont last much longer. They dare not champion the rights of Arabs in Gaza nor do they care. Their standard is double to say the least.

It seems this tactic is being used by the US administration as well, as we notice the suspicious absence of many Orthodox Jews who are no longer invited to the court of President Obama. Indeed the “Two State Solution” is being implemented, but against the Jews and not those that would rejoice in our destruction.

As more and more Israeli achievements are recorded every day, eventually the common folk around the world will take notice of this also, not just the so-called “Intellectual Elitists and Liberal” camps. The world will notice just how much we contribute and how little are enemies have done. Eventually we might even see the Political leaders of the world take notice and choose truth over deceit.

I’m not saying that Justice will ring out through the world, we know better than that, but common sense just might.

And the Band played on....

A proud week for the United States, President Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize for… eh… what peace did he achieve again?

This is the question on the minds of perhaps the majority of those that even noticed. Even Terrorist organizations have tilted their heads in wonder. Apparently there is a new precedent for achieving such a prestigious award. You now only need to want to do something, no longer actually achieve a milestone or goal. I feel sorry for the honorable judges, there are going to be a lot more qualifying contestants for this new game show. Indeed the whole concept of peace apparently is changing, at least as we knew it. The “Nobel” committee said it honored Obama for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." I must have been sleeping since January, what extraordinary efforts did I miss? Of course I am not paying attention to the little problem of the Nomination date of February 1, 12 days after President Obama took office.

The only thing that has happened in my neck of the woods, this side of the Jordan River is the lopsided pressure being put on the Israeli people regarding concessions to be made to the peace loving Arabs of the Fatah party representing the Arabs living in Judea and Samaria (so far).

In other parts of the world where the US is involved, violence and warfare is business as usual. Iraq is still the mess it has been with no improvement in sight. Afghanistan is heading down the tubes with civilian fatalities and casualties climbing steadily, not to mention the losses of US troops. Pakistan has been enjoying an increase in suicide bombings. African deaths continue on being unnoticed by the present US administration, the list goes on.

The only thing Prez Obama has really done is stretched his hand out to the Muslims of the world in friendship and promised them that he is on their side also. Wait a sec… it seems they are the ones involved in all of this violence, so what’s going on? I mean no offense to the Muslim communities of the world, but it seems most of the violent confrontations going on seem to happening in mostly Muslim areas.

This latest mockery of prestige goes right along with the Goldstone Report, the UN, the Honduras Jew hunt, J Street and so many others looking to paint a bad picture of the Jewish State. It is getting boring, surely there must be something else of interest in the world?

Is Art dead, has the Music stopped, what about doing good in the world for the hungry, the sick? Lets not forget Education. How about releasing the masses from the yoke of petroleum? You would think these are pressing matters rather than a handful of Jews in the Middle East. I think someone is messin’ with the scales. We are being hoodwinked.

Sparks

So where are the Goldstones now? Lately the Negev is enjoying the pleasure of Kassams and Mortars a few times a day, yet Goldstone and his ilk say nothing. The UN ignores these little “hindrances”, and the rest of the Human Rights Activists just keep their mouths shut. Do you know why??? Because not only do they not care, they do not like Israel, and guess what, most of them don’t like Jews being in Israel.

Violence is on the rise in Judea and Samaria also, but the lives of Jews in these regions do not deserve the same rights and protection as others. Indeed, actions against the Jewish populous are applauded in the halls of the UN. Organizations such as Brit Tzedek, Gush Shalom and J Street to name a few support violence against our people in the Jewish heartland, and there are claims that not just verbal support.

Over here in Israel, we read also the claims of how lifting the roadblocks are one of the major causes of this rise in violence, not true. The recent lifting of the roadblocks is causing a 500% rise in theft, weapons transfers, strengthening of the terror infrastructure. It has eased the lives of many Arab residents of Judea and Samaria, and this is not necessarily a bad thing. It is not the cause of the increase in terror, it is helping, but it is not the cause or reason.

The reason is very simple, the Terrorists of Judea and Samaria want to kill Jews. They will continue to want to kill Jews, why not, this is what they are taught, and the world is not against it, as long as it is done in Israel. They are being incited in their Mosques, in their coffee shops, and most heinous, in their schools. One of the motives we are seeing is the feeble attempt of Fatah trying to gain strength outside of Ramallah, by renewing the “struggle”. You see, a “Palestinian” Campaign strategy includes how many Jews you will kill, simply put, kill more Jews, get more votes, and get more money. Let’s not forget how they are enjoying a new status and their new friends. This support they are enjoying in their fight against Israel from many nations, and “Leaders” is a strong catalyst in the increase of terror. As more and more Western nations are adopting a stronger Islamic presence and identity among their ranks, we will see this spread and grow, all over. So again, the reason for this increase in terror is not the removal of roadblocks.

I admit to even being a little comforted by the waking up of many Jews in America, as to the realizing of the goals of the Arabs, that in the destruction of Israel, as a Jewish State, and as a Country. Achminajad is also helping, his persistent ranting against Israel, his threats, his insanity is also scaring some more people into our corner. He has people waking up to the fact that many of Israel’s friends are only “fair weather friends”, and not really at our side. Strange isn’t it when there are reports of Arab Nations that claim they will permit Israel to fly over their territory to attack Iran, while the US, or Zbinew, claim they will stop Israeli jets from doing so. Most do not realize the reason the Arab nations want to stop Iran is that they are afraid that if he launches a nuclear attack on Israel, the winds will carry the “cloud” over to their countries, what would they say if Israel was located in Africa?

There is still a long way to go, but more and more of our people are waking up. If we could only get more of them out to see and understand the real picture, and the real face of our adversaries, we would have a flood on our hands, the good kind of flood. But that too will come.

Bibi’s speech touched many, whether his intentions are honorable or not is a separate issue, but we see how when Jewish strength and identity is spoken of, it reaches our core. When a “Jewish State” is mentioned, it reaches our soul and sparks are rekindled. It is these sparks that terrify our enemies, it is these sparks that can help stoke the fires of the continued Jewish presence in Israel, all of Israel.

We must continue as a people to rekindle these sparks, the sparks in all of us, as a people, as one people, wherever we are, until the fire returns to burn brightly in our midst. We are all we have and we must work together and continue to be strong in our land, in our Jewish Land, in all of our Jewish Land, it is, our right.

AM YISRAEL CHAI V’ KAYAM!

A Mission for all of us

For years I have held that the security of Jews in Israel is our business, and our business alone. I believed that if we did not handle it, we did not deserve the land. Israel for me is the homeland of the Jewish people and it was in our charge to defend for our people. I look at the world and have been watching it turn against Israel for no other reason than defending itself. A byproduct of this change is the growth of Islamic influence in the west. More and more Mosques are filled with the speeches of how Islam will take over and the return of the Caliphate to the world. If we look at the demographic growth and rate of Muslim immigration to the West, we are presented with a picture of a changing soon to be future.

I am sure many of the Muslim people looking for greener pastures will choose the fields of Germany, England, Canada and the US eventually over the Middle East in which to make their new homes.

It seems this is all connected to what is happening in Israel today. Our government here capitulates to Muslim demands and weakens itself to the Arab and Western threats, and the result is a quite visible change in the West and its position regarding Israel. Terrorism grows in the West as we in Israel dare to negotiate land for peace.

The threat is quite eminent, though few see it. I am sorry to say, that many of my own Jewish brothers fail to see the tide coming in and choose to condemn their homeland and people rather than fight for it. While the numbers of “Christian Zionists” grow, they too are limited in the midst of the crashing waves.

It is very frustrating to see. Jews who long for their identity and strength cringe as the voices against them gain numbers and strength every day outside of Israel, while we in Israel grow stronger. The “Christian Zionists” gnarl at every move they see against Israel, only gaining strength by coming here to see that we are for real.

So we have all the ingredients, we have the recipe, what is missing? Far be it from me to speak for others, but in my humble opinion, I see an imbalance between Heaven and Earth, simply meaning that we are not “doing” enough down here. We have the gift of Judea and Samaria in our midst, the holiest land man has known from time immemorial, yet we do not take advantage of it or it’s people. Far too little is done with this resource, far too few are involved in our growth. The growth of our people on this land is critical for our existence as a living people, and not a remnant of a prophecy. Our presence here affects the world, and it is how we will be present here that will shape things to come.

Continued building and development is needed, economic gestures are needed in order to grow and “see” the opportunity that is here. Investment in business and commerce, strengthening our Security Apparatus are priority’s that must be addressed immediately. Unfortunately, most of this effort needed is monetary as we wont see the throngs making Aliyah anytime soon.

Hundreds of millions of dollars from all over the world continue to flow to the Arabs of Judea and Samaria, continuing to build their Army, while the flow of funds trickle down to the Jewish inhabitants. We do provide a return, and this is not Charity, this is a partnership, this is a joint venture, this is an investment for the future and not just for the Jewish people.

I admit to pain and sadness while I see many of my own people looking down at us, worse, they side with our enemies, condemn us and leave us. I cry, because I know their numbers shrink daily, and they will soon only be a story at a commemorative dinner, spoken of as the “Jewish” family of the past.

This need not be.

The United States has always been a friend of Israel, and the Holy Land, not just because of its tiny Jewish population, but also of a sharing of values. This too is changing, as quick as the sun sets. The term “Separation of Church and State” surly will be changed in the near future to a more “friendly” term. “Sensitivity” classes will become a standard part of high school curriculum, on the way as the new fashion of checkered scarves takes lead down the runways of Broadway. All this may happen, as the wearing of a “Kippah” (skullcap) will become an unwanted sight.

This need not be.

I thought in the past that this land was only for the good of the Jewish people. I see it is for the good of all people.

I call upon all those who care for a better future to take action now, not just words, and become really involved with Judea and Samaria. Become involved today, it is no longer just a Jewish problem, it is the world’s problem.

This precious gift and opportunity stands before us, it will not come to us, it is we who must go to it, and bring it close to our hearts.

The other "Two State Solution"

The buzzword of the Middle East is the “Two State Solution”, and the real question is which “Two State Solution”? As time goes by, the options grow and the divisions increase, between everybody involved. The Arabs need at least 3 states to enjoy a semi-normal existence. The Jews are closing in on that scenario also. At least we are seeing more unity in Israel itself, while outside many are choosing to side with those who see us as a threat to all and an obstacle to peace in the world.

So lets take a look at out Arab neighbors here in Israel, Gaza is pretty much done for, at this point splitting between Hamas, Al Qaeda, Jihad Islami, to name a few, of course you have a few token Fatah members left (somebody has to be arrested and tortured). The last thing on anyone’s mind there is peace with Israel, the wretched few that actually would like to have a normal existence are too afraid to speak, let alone say anything that might be interpreted as Anti Jihad, or Pro Israel. In Judea and Samaria, the big joke is how the Americans are supporting Abbas and keeping him alive, in hopes that he will retain control against all odds, and the democratic process of voting in a government of the people. This is, of course, why General Dayton must work overtime training the new “Palestinian” army, to preserve US interests in the region, yes, US interests, none other. A strong Israel is not a US interest anymore. Believe it or not, any semblance of a “strong Jew” in his land is strictly “verboten”. The old term “Judenrein” is gaining popularity in the rhetoric of a Middle East solution in Israel. The polls among the Arabs in Judea and Samaria show a majority voting for Hamas vs. Fatah, not to forget however most of these same Arabs are terrified of Arab rule compared to Israeli rule. This explains the mad rush of Arabs seeking Israeli citizenship and residence of Jerusalem.

None of this is news, most who know anything about the Middle East are aware of this and the danger it presents, to the region and the West.

The larger problem is that of the voices of those that sit comfortably in their houses thousands of miles away and dare to think they can dictate policy to a people that must stand against terror daily. As they side with the sworn enemies of Israel, they must ask themselves where they set the borders, and what are they willing to do to protect those borders. Are they willing to put their life on the line and be a productive part of this country, if not, perhaps they should rethink their right to a voice in Israel’s affairs.

One of the amazing feats of the Jewish people in the last century was that of coming together for each other, being the strong shoulder to lean on, both ways. Jews all over the world were there for each other, especially when it came to our homeland, our heritage, our Israel. Not so anymore, it is more important for many of our people to judge themselves on how others view them, it just so happens that these “others” are not our friends, and have no idea as to what really is going on in Israel. Why be informed when ignorance is easier.

Here is the simple fact, they are separating themselves from their own heritage, and there will be a heavy price to pay in the future. Being “Jewish” outside of Israel is not very popular and is going down as fast as a Kassam flies. There are many that are making that extra effort to criticize and condemn Israel, what would they do to protect their own families, not much apparently. This separation weakens us, however it weakens the Jewish people outside of Israel more. The opposite is occurring in Israel, the Jewish people of Israel are growing stronger and are connecting even more than before to their land. The Jews of Israel are finally realizing that they can count on none other beside their faith and themselves. Most of our own are not there for us, preferring to put us in dangers way so they can look good at the local “Iftar” (evening meal after Ramadan fast) munch. So there you have it, another “Two State Solution”.

Over the High Holidays, we pray for the good of the world and our people, that is exactly what is happening in Israel, the Jewish people are growing and getting stronger, for the good of the world and our people, we will continue to do so, for there is no choice. When the time comes that our people outside will need us, we will be there, as strong as ever, as good as ever.

False Messages

False Messages

President Obama met with those he considers the leaders of the Jewish Community in order to allay their fears regarding the harsh treatment Israel is receiving at the hands of the US administration. The “leaders” expressed their concern at the pressure the US president is putting on the Jewish country and there were even a few that insisted that he apply equal pressure on the Arabs. When the President was asked to relieve some of the pressure on Israel he responded that nothing else works.

There are plenty of articles written about this meeting and most don’t mention that this gathering included Obama supporters for the most part and none that openly disagreed with present US policy in the Middle East.

There is no doubt in the minds of most supporters of Israel that the US is overstepping itself in dictating policy to Israel, but this is not new. The US has been dictating international policy to others since it became a world power, so have other nations of power, this is reality, and this is why they are called “world powers”. Amazing the blind eye that has been gazing on Israel.

President Obama’s reaction wasn’t surprising, nor was his choice of “Jewish” leadership, I am more concerned with the pressure that these “leaders” are putting on Israel. Their siding with the sworn enemies of Israel, their lack of actual fact finding and basing their opinions on an opponent’s point of view is disturbing.

While the populous of Israel has finally been learning that the Arabs do not want peace, it seems that Jews outside of Israel are going out of their way to bond with our enemies. These “Jewish leaders” seem to forget that the “Palestinian Arab” side of the picture, never agrees to anything that would further the peace process.

It is wonderful that they feel strong enough about Israel to be involved, but I find it offensive that they feel they have a right to speak for Israel while they do not live there. Their sons and daughters do not serve in the defense of the country and they do not bleed when terrorists attack. Israel does belong to them also, as they are Jews, but they do not have the right to destroy or take part in anything or action that would put millions in danger, especially not from so far away.

Israel has learned that President Obama is not a true friend and ally as he states, and Israelis don’t expect much from the leader of the United States. Israel and the Jewish people should actually be grateful to him as we learn where we may put our trust. The larger and more serious problem is that our own people living outside of Israel are being lead by deceit and rally around those that rejoice in Jewish blood.

If these Jewish leaders continue down this path, they will soon discover that they are lambs alone amongst a pack of wolves with none to save them. They will have none to blame but themselves.

Jewish history has taught us that when we are strong and believe in who we are, good prevails for our people, the more we fight against ourselves, the more sorrow we will bring. Many are waking up to this fact, and this is why we are seeing increased efforts by Israel’s enemies to divide us. We must be doing something right.

People around the world still ask why the Jews are destroying themselves, and how they can speak against Israel? The voices that speak against us are the voices of a minority, outside of Israel they are the voices of people disappearing into the darkness of assimilation. They are not our leaders.

New Dawn, New Year

Back in 1982, Shimon Peres traveled to the USA to speak in opposition of Israel’s then war against terror from Lebanon. He managed to gain US support and increased international pressure on Israel amidst the fighting causing a premature cease-fire and in essence prolonging Israel’s presence in Lebanon. We as soldiers were in the middle of battle as we were listening on the radio how one of our own Government officials was gathering support against us. Most of us in our late teens and early twenty’s, we simply cared about doing our job, protecting Israel and stopping the enemy and then going home. We didn’t understand how a government official could speak out against what we were doing, and worst, take it to the outside world. Was it the world’s business anyway, were they getting bombed? We knew in our hearts that we were stopping the terrorists from continuing to fire on the North, and we were stopping our enemies.

I remember watching the terrorists of Fatah traveling safely from Lebanon, because of a brokered cease fire and the confusing feeling among us, how could we let our enemies leave so they would attack us again?

After Oslo, we let these same terrorists back into our country, rearmed them only to see those weapons turned against us and we watched as waves of bombings against the innocent took their toll in lives, again the result of the same team from 1982.

Even today, opposition leader Tzippi Livni will travel to the US to gain support against the present government and attempt at keeping her job. Peace Now, Human Rights Watch, Rabbis for whatever and so many others will do the same.

Continuing to travel outside the country to gain support and funds, these movements and politicians that put the security and safety of the Jewish people here in jeopardy and roam freely without regard to the Jewish lives they endanger.

People of the world look at us, the Jewish people, in amazement how we endanger ourselves and our nation by capitulating to outside pressures and give in to an enemy that has one goal in mind, that of destroying us. How come everybody understands this but our own officials and so called peace movements? How can we expect any sort of unity among our own people, or the attempt of unity, when our own representatives choose to air their dirty laundry outside?

These politicians and others hold a grudge against the new growing strength in Israel. The new Israel is that of a strong Jewish identity, this new Israeli, is not ashamed of who he or she is. They know they are in their land, and will defend it and fight for it. They grow vineyards and orchards and produce world renowned goods. They are creating technologies that are saving lives around the world. They are not ashamed of lighting candles Friday night and they are proud of who they are and where they live.

This is what frightens our dear Knesset members and supposed intelligentsia who oppose our presence in Judea and Samaria. They go so far as to seek out and create more opposition because they cannot find enough support at home. These same people ignore democracy and justice while attempting to create their own rules and double standards. They are racists, discriminating against their own. They do not believe in equality, only their way, at the expense of Jewish life. They will adopt an enemy rather than make peace at home and they will bend laws without regard to justice.

Most of the nations of the world do not really care what happens to us, they care what happens to them, quite normal. This applies to most people in the world, again, normal. By creating and bringing opposing views outside the country, we weaken and confuse our people and ourselves. This in turn creates the exact atmosphere needed to harm us, and what are enemies seek and this is forbidden.

Every nation and country in the world has its problems, we all agree and disagree with each other, we talk, we yell and eventually work things out, you might say this is the democratic process. Our job in Israel regarding the Jewish Communities outside the country is to keep them strong, and protect them when needed, they are the minority there. Our job here in Israel is to keep our country strong and safe and to be able to provide a place to live for all Jews around the world, when needed.

So I turn to our people, who bear this grudge against their own, and embrace values that are foreign to us and our people, come home, look inside, you will be proud of who you are and who you are becoming.

There is a new dawn, and it is beautiful.

Eventually

Eventually truth does win out, whether we hear of it or not. More and more Israeli’s wake up every day to the farce of diplomacy being thrust upon the Jews of Israel by the champions of democracy throughout the western world. Polls show the same among other nations in the world. The continued lies of the “Palestinian Authority” are humiliating more and more of those in the US government, and those that voted for them. As the falsehoods of the Arab quest for peace continue to surface, politicians scramble for cover so as not to ruin what is left of their names and reputations.

On the ground in Judea and Samaria, the Arab residents are also coming to grip the reality that Israel and the Jews are here to stay. Of course this remains well hidden in the dark corridors of their villages, less they crave the punishment of “treason”. Even Jimmy Carter has begun to speak about the notion of “One State”; of course he hopes it to be an Arab majority in the near future. Still, the world is slowly realizing that we are here to stay, and the feeble attempt of ethnically cleansing the Heartland of Israel of its Jewish populous will not happen, not this time, not this place. We will still in the mean time bear the brunt of a double, triple standard regarding the legality of the Jewish presence here, and will continue to see the ugly face of hatred at every turn we take, even as we fight to defend our own right to a safe existence in our land.

I’m sorry that I have nothing new to add, as most has been said already, and is continuing to be said, thank Gd every day. I can still say that the road is long, and now we must concentrate on bringing our own back to the truth, and this appears to be the greatest challenge before us. For some reason that I have yet to understand, many of our own under the guise of “seekers of justice”, see more fault in us then the rest of the world. In their warped sense of perception we in Israel are far more evil then the tyrants and murderers of Darfur, the War Lords of Afghanistan, the Wahabbi Lawgivers of Saudi Arabia, or the even handed courts of the Palestinian Authority.

Being led by the unbiased reporting of the New York Times and Al Gezeera, these ignorant few and the haters of the Israeli nation are attempting to boost their efforts promoting lies and violence against any Jew who believes in his own heritage.

Of course they are not alone, there are still leaders of various western nations that continue to kowtow to the mullahs of deceit, in hopes of a better deal, a reduced price on crude, or maybe a billion dollar loan guarantee.

We are approaching a time where action will dictate who we are, and rhetoric will take the back seat. It may not be the smooth road we hope and pray for, but never less, it is one of the roads that we must take.

I watched this week as a young Jewish boy entered manhood by reconnecting with his ancestors, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Holy city of Hebron in the Cave of the Patriarchs, or Ma’arat Machpela. It wasn’t enough for him and his family to include his past in his future, they went further, and Jewish soldiers on duty also were invited to share in their joy. Eyes welled up as a young Paratrooper Captain stood and said a “Dvar Torah” or commentary, in honor of the Bar Mitzvah and then many present understood the greatness of the moment, we stood there, today and saw the new, strong and growing Jewish presence in the Holy land. There was no physical distance, no spiritual divides, only One People in their land to stay, and this is our future.
